Welcome to my website!

Currently, I am leading a field experiment to study the impact of peer networks among locally elected politicians in Bihar under the guidance of Prof MR Sharan.

Previously I worked as a Senior Research Associate at IMAGO Global Grassroots, with Michael Walton, evaluating the effectiveness of the national anti-poverty program (MGNREGA) on rural women’s collectives using quasi-experimental methods. At J-PAL South Asia, I assessed the outcomes of a gender-inclusive curriculum on adolescent boys and girls with Prof Seema Jayachandran.

Before that at IFMR LEAD, I studied the financial challenges faced by rural women entrepreneurs using primary data and developed an innovative credit scoring model as an alternative to traditional banking systems

My research interests are anchored in Development Economics, Economic History, and Political Economy, with a robust skill set in data analysis using Stata, R, and Python.

I am also the Director of Women in Economics and Policy, an India-based non-profit dedicated to advancing the role of women in economics and allied fields.
